Challenges facing silicon capacitors
Capacitance density: Although it can be improved through 3D structures,
achieving capacitance values comparable to high-performance MLCCs (such as
tens of microfarads) in the same volume remains very expensive.
Cost structure: Requires expensive semiconductor production lines, making it
more suitable for high-end, high-value-added applications, and difficult to
completely replace ordinary capacitors in consumer electronics.
Voltage limitations: Typically operates at low voltages (below tens of
volts), making it unsuitable for high-voltage applications.
