Simple Structure and Principle of Radial Extrusion Molds
For radial extrusion, it adopts a Class I precision guide mold base. Under
the pressure of the upper mold (7) and lower mold (8), it extrudes washer-shaped
blanks into hollow shaft parts with bosses in the middle. To keep the pressed
workpiece on the upper mold, tapers are made on the mandrel and cavity of the
lower mold. Alternatively, when the radial extrusion mold returns to the upper
position, the crossbar on the press pushes the push rod, pusher, and upper mold
mandrel. At the same time, the compression spring pushes the workpiece, three
cylindrical pins, push plate, and upper mold to eject the workpiece from the
upper mold. The mold has a simple and compact structure, is easy to use, and is
suitable for mass production.
The principle of radial extrusion for steel bar connection is to insert the
ends of two steel bars to be connected into a steel sleeve, then use a portable
steel bar extruder to radially extrude the steel sleeve, causing it to undergo
plastic deformation and engage with the cross ribs of the steel bars. This is a
mechanical connection method that integrates two steel bars and one steel sleeve
