China's Packaging Industry Operation Briefing for January-June 2025

According to statistics from the China Packaging Federation, from January to June 2025, there were 20,022 enterprises in the national packaging industry above the designated size; the total operating income reached 995.663 billion yuan, an increase of 0.45% year-on-year; the total profit reached 43.581 billion yuan, an increase of 5.05% year-on-year.
From January to June 2025, the total import and export volume of the national packaging industry amounted to 25.732 billion US dollars, an increase of 720 million US dollars compared to the same period last year. Among them, the import volume was 3.487 billion US dollars, an increase of 67 million US dollars year-on-year; the export volume was 22.245 billion US dollars, an increase of 655 million US dollars year-on-year.The top five countries and regions in terms of import volume are Japan, South Korea, Germany, Taiwan, China, and Italy.
The top five provinces and cities are Jiangsu Province, Guangdong Province, Shanghai, Zhejiang Province, and Fujian Province; the top five countries and regions in terms of export volume are the United States, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand. The top five provinces and cities are Zhejiang Province, Guangdong Province, Jiangsu Province, Shandong Province, and Shanghai.
